Seven new words to watch for November. This month’s list includes a couple of environmental words, like passive home, an energy efficient building or home that reduces the owner’s carbon footprint. And seabin, meaning a floating rubbish receptacle that sucks up plastic waste from the ocean surface.
And just in time for summer, we have the rosé berry, perfect as a side with a bottomless rosé brunch in the sun.
Many of our words to watch are submitted by you for consideration in the Macquarie Dictionary. We love finding out about new coinages as well as words that may have been around for a while but are becoming more common or popular. Find out more about how words get into the dictionary here.
