Editor's comments: At the moment we have collected two examples of this spelling which seem to point to a different pronunciation - "bit-a-min" as opposed to normal "bich-yoo-min". Can anyone help out with this?

Contributor's comments: Bich-yoo-min is the one I am most familiar with, followed by 'bit-yoo-men' (this is rare). Never heard the bitamin version.
Contributor's comments: I have lived in Saall my life and in Adelaide for the last 32 years. I have never heard "bitamin"! But my husband who is slightly older says he vaguely remembers it from his childhood in Barmera SA.

Contributor's comments: We lived in Adelaide from 1979-1982 and they all said bitamin in the northeast area of Adelaide.
Contributor's comments: In the Huon valley of Tasmania in the 1940s bitamin was commonly used, although those who knew better used bitch-yu-man.
