Contributor's comments: 'Heaps good' has been used in Adelaide region since the early 1990s. 'Heaps' can be used for other words too, e.g. 'It's heaps hot outside'. I've only heard it used by people interstate since 2000.
Contributor's comments: Very good: "That's heaps good" (used as a response to someone having said something). This was, in the experience of my children, a South Australian usage which was not encountered by them when we moved to Victoria.
