Contributor's comments: I grew up in QLD and asking for a Nikko was understood, after moving to NSW I have learnt that a Nikko is a thick black texter.
Contributor's comments: I lived in Brisbane for 23 years and always called a thick permanent marker pen a "nikko". When I moved to Canberra and asked someone for a "nikko" they looked at me very strangely and had no idea what I wanted!
