goozy

Spit - either noun or verb. There can be 'a goozy' on something, or one can goozy onto something. I think it's Western Australian (I've lived in WA, Victoria, NSW, and Tasmania, and never encountered it anywhere else): Of my baby daughter - "She's covered in goozy."

Contributor's comments: Goozy is used all over SA & was big in the 50s & 60s when I was at school. Still used for spit, snot etc.

Contributor's comments: Secretions from nose or lungs as opposed to saliva. Snot or phlegm. Perth and central WA: "You've got a goozy hanging out your nose". "If you're going to bring up a goozy please do it outside. It sounds revolting!"

Contributor's comments: A piece of phlegm in the back of the throat that is spat out: I had a goozie in my throat. Do these sausages have any goozies or other bits in them?
