This word was used commonly during the early sixties and thereafter when referring to sausages - BBQ's or camping - when preparing a meal in the bush we used to have a feed of frangs and a couple of beers.
Contributor's comments: This is probably a coruption of the word "Franger" which of course is a name for a condom.

Contributor's comments: In Sydney a franger was a sausage. I have not heard them called frangs.
