used in place of cheerio (used in Ceduna, SA, 25 years ago; never knew whether it was something belonging only to that town)
Contributor's comments: When living on Eyre Peninsula in 1980's the term Cheery was used occasionally I am not sure if it was restricted to Ceduna area, but was not common in Port Lincoln.
