Contributor's comments: I believe this regionalism originated as a brand name used by the NORCO company, and obviously related to the Byron Bay district, where NORCO had a factory.

Contributor's comments: Growing up in Lismore, we used the phrase "Byron Sausage" almost exclusively to describe Devon/Windsor/Whatever.

Contributor's comments: [Mullumbimby informant] Word used for devon or small goods because the sausage was made at the Norco small goods factory at Byron Bay: "I'll have a Bryon Sausage and pickle sandwich please."
