To go off hurriedly into the bushes for a toilet break, having been caught short: If we were driving along the highway in South-East Queensland in the 1960's, and we saw a car parked at the side of the road in an isolated spot for no other obvious reason, it was a fair guess, and someone in the family would probably surmise, that the driver was "scrub dashing".
