Contributor's comments: What a quaint term, when I first heard this one from Adelaide rellies I thought they meant a training college for receptionists. Never used in Sydney.
Contributor's comments: I grew up in Adelaide and I always thought "reception" was for private schools and "prep" ("preparation") was used in public schools.
