Contributor's comments: In response to something and you are seeking clarification. Sometimes used as a general response to a comment made by someone. This was often used in the Northern Territory when I was there in the early 1990's: "This dress cost $100.00 true?" "That bloke is an idiot true?"
Contributor's comments: "True" or "true yet" was very common in the expat community in PNG in the 1970's. "True" was often interchangeable with "really".
