A doomie is usually someone who resides in public-housing, perpetually unemployed, smoke in mouth, bad haircut, wears flannos and black jeans. Called doomie because they never change: they are doomed to live that way forever. I have only ever heard this word in use on the Central Coast of NSW: What a bunch of doomies.
